DEPRESSING: the homophobia of the italian "government"

According to Carlo Giovanardi, the Secretary of the so-called leading political party, PDL (an oxymoron if there ever was one), the above IKEA ad showing a gay couple and the tagline "We're open to all families" is in "bad taste" and "offends the Italian costitution". 

I would like to publicly apologize for the sheer idiocy of the Italian government. The rampant homophobia of the current "leaders", although widespread in the country, is not shared by all Italians.

As an Italian citizen (still), I am ashamed, mortified, and offended by Giovavardi's comments.

These are sad, tragic times for Italy.
