Everything I’ve heard and read about Berlusconi leads me to believe he fits that description. My Italian friends have often told me that Berlusconi is to Italy what George W. Bush was to the U.S. – a leader who is not a uniter, but a divider and tears at the social fabric of the country for the financial benefit of its wealthiest citizens, including himself. I think people also draw the comparison because Berlusconi and Bush have a similar brand of arrogance. In my Berlusconi image, I tried to capture the arrogance through his facial expression, and show the damage of his arrogance as he tears apart the Italian flag."
