Ludologica. Videogames d'autore is sponsoring a one-day conference at IULM University on November 25 2004. Titled "Videogiochi, Cultura & Società" ("Videogames, Culture, and Society"), the conference will address many issues relating to videogames, including its sometimes troubled relationship with society at large. The list of speakers include Andrea Cuneo, brand manager of Sony Computer Entertainment Italy, Alessandra C., writer and avid gamer, Massimo Maietti, PhD Candidate at Goldsmith University London, former Nintendo of Europe Localization manager and author of Semiotica dei Videogiochi, Gianfranco Pecchinenda, professor and author of Cultura delle simulazioni. La nascita dell'Homo Game, Mario Ricco, former art designer at Milestone and professor at Politecnico di Milano, and Enrico Varsi, CEO of Free Message (these guys do all the PR for Take 2 Interactive... Hot stuff, as you can imagine). The event will be presented and moderated by yours truly and Gianni Canova. See you there!
